You can easly reach Alta Valsassina from Brianza and from Milan in one hour by car, and in 20 minutes from the east side of Como Lake:

- Coming from Brianza, Milan, passing through Lecco, take the SS 36 heading the new gallery Lecco-Ballabio going through Ballabio then take the provincial road 62, passing through Valsassina for about 28 km to Taceno, the gateway to Alta Valsassina, where the tortuous but easy provincial road 67 leads to the higher villages.

- Moving along the Como and Spluga road lake SS 36, heading both directions Lecco and Valtellina, take the Bellano exit then turn left to Taceno, about 8 miles away, then continue as above.
